Having treated hundreds of people over many years, one of the hurdles I often see is an unhealthy gut and you may be surprised by the number of issues that could have roots in your gut.
Some of them may not seem like symptoms because we accept them as part of modern living. When in fact, there is something you can do to change this.
Do you suffer from fatigue, apathy or low mood, feeling out of control, IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, persistent skin conditions/ dull or dry skin, candida, mood swings, weight gain/ problems losing weight, food cravings, memory and concentration issues, fatigue, headaches, food sensitivities, hormone imbalances, frequent illness, insomnia, persistent aches and pains?
So what causes this gut damage? In the main, it’s our living and eating habits.
Then there’s stress, antibiotics, long term physical & mental illness, medications, hormonal changes due to pregnancy, menopause or contraception, poor diet, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, environmental factors.
Many of these are difficult to avoid but if we consider our bodies more like the 'Ferraris' we were born into then we might like to consider servicing our bodies as we would a high-performance car. Sometimes we are more likely to service our car or maintain our house before we maintain our bodies. We tend to take our amazing body for granted until it shouts at us by creating some uncomfortable symptoms which we have no choice but to take notice of.
